Evaluation and Reporting of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program

The Accounting Study Program of UNPAR’s Faculty of Economic has received an extraordinary gift, being nominated as one of the 142 universities that have been granted to hold the Independent Campus Competition Program (Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka, abbreviated to PKKM). PKKM is an accelerated program for independent campus programs that drive transformation and innovation in universities on a study program basis. The selection of the Accounting Study Program of UNPAR’s Faculty of Economics into the program was not an easy task as we have to go through a rigorous selection process, from administrative selection process, quality evaluation and proposal feasibility, verification of feasibility of the program and budgeting. The selection process involves an assessment team from academia, industry and business owners.

The Merdeka Learning Campus Program (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka – MBKM) available at UNPAR includes: 1) Student Exchange, 2) Internship and Work Practicum, 3) Teaching assistance in education units, 4) Research, 5) Humanity Project, 6) Entrepreneurship, 7) Independent study/project, 8) Building villages in thematic community service projects, 9) Environmental projects, and 10) State Defense. In the odd semester of 2021/2022, the Accounting Study Program has organized MBKM activities, including: 1) Student exchanges within UNPAR are with the Developments Economics Study Program, Management Study Program, Administration and Business Science Study Program, Philosophy Study Program and others; 2) Student Exchanges of UNPAR students with other universities, which are APTIK MBKM Program, NUNI, IISMA and ACUCA MBKM programs; 3) Teaching assistance program at Taruna Bakti High School; 4) Internship at Purwantono, Suherman and Surja Public Accounting Firm (EY Indonesia), Telkom Indonesia, Nestle, and Bank of Indonesia, and 5) Independent study/projects at myEduSolve.

As an effort to account for the use of PKKM funds, the Accounting Study Program held a 3 day evaluation on December 23, 2021, December 24, 2021, and December 28, 2021. There were few matters that were discussed, including: student committees, MBKM participating students and education staff providing feedback and evaluation, followed by evaluation delivered by the lecturer in charge of MBKM, and ended in the preparation of the MBKM Program Report.
