Socialization of the Accounting Study Program Curriculum for the MBKM Scheme

According to the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Scheme Curriculum, which will be implemented in the odd semester of 2021/2022, the Accounting Study Program of UNPAR’s Faculty of Economics held a socialization of the MBKM Scheme Curriculum on Monday, February 22, 2021. The MBKM program aims to improve graduate competencies in both soft skills and hard skills to be more prepared and relevant to the needs of today and to prepare graduates as future leaders of the nation who are excellent and have developed their true personalities. It is hoped that experiential learning programs with flexible pathways will be able to facilitate students in developing their potential according to their passions and talents.

The program for socializing the UNPAR Accounting Study Program Curriculum for the MBKM Scheme consisted of: an opening prayer led by Mrs. Elsje Kosasih, Dra., Ak., M.Si., CMA;  the opening of the event by Mrs. Budiana Gomulia, Dra., M.Si. (Dean of UNPAR’s Faculty of Economics); a presentation on the addendum to the MBKM Scheme Accounting Study Program curriculum by Dr. Sylvia Fettry Elvira Maratno, SE., SH., M.Si., Ak (Head of the Accounting Study Program); and a closing prayer led by Dr. Elizabeth Tiur Manurung, M.Si., Ak., CA., CIRR. The addendum materials discussed for the MBKM Scheme Accounting Study Program curriculum were: an initial introduction to the MBKM program; objectives and benefits of the MBKM; curriculum structure and framework; a curriculum chart for the MBKM Scheme Accounting Study Program; learning methods; general elective courses; cross study programs courses at UNPAR; apprenticeship and teaching assistance; procedures for registering for MBKM; and relaxation of MBKM requirements. This socialization event was attended by students from the classes of 2016–2018 and lecturers from the Accounting Study Program. Student enthusiasm for participating in the MBKM program was seen during the question-and-answer session. It is hoped that the MBKM program organized by the UNPAR Accounting Study Program can provide benefits for students.
