On December 18, 2021, the 13th Meeting for Specific Industry Audit Class was hosted by Mr. Angga Pujaprayoga as the Audit Director from KPMG as well as an alumnus of the Accounting Study Program of UNPAR’s Faculty of Economics class of 2003. He explained the topic about E-Commerce. In this era, e-commerce grows rapidly, especially during the pandemic period, where there are changes in humans’ lifestyles that drive other business development such as electronic fund transfer, supply chain management, internet marketing and so forth. He also explained the growth of E-commerce around the world, focusing on the growth of E-commerce companies in Indonesia as well as various efforts by the government to drive E-commerce development by passing policies that are outlined in regulations. On the other hand, in the field of E-commerce auditing, there is a need for the role of IT Auditors who have an understanding of General IT Control and Application Control. Risks in auditing, accounting treatment in accordance with applicable Financial Accounting Standards were also explained in detail by Mr. Angga Pujaprayoga. The session ended with questions from students, answered by lecturers so that students could gain extensive knowledge with regards to E-commerce.
