Publication Strategy in Highly Reputable International Journals

Cooperation and good relations between the Fiscal Policy Agency (Badan Kebijakan Fiskal – BKF) and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia have been established since 2020 at the Sustainability Accounting International Seminar. This collaboration was continued with cooperation in the field of research. In an effort to publish research results in reputable international journals, on June 16–19, 2021, a Coaching Clinic was held with the title “Publication Strategies in Highly Reputable International Journals.” This event was held in person at Hotel V Bandung as well as online via the Zoom platform. Although this event was held face-to-face, it still adhered to health protocols and was attended by limited participants. The event was attended by the PKPPIM BKF research team and lecturers from the Accounting Study Program, the Development Economics Study Program, and the Management Study Program.

The series of coaching clinic events were as follows: The first day, June 16, 2021, the BKF committee had a meeting with UNPAR. The second day, June 17, 2021, there was internal coordination between the research team and the supervisor. On the third day, June 18, 2021, the first session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Tulus Suryanto, MM., Akt., CA., CMA regarding journal selection according to the field of science, journal status checking, mapping between predatory journals and blacklist journals, installing reference managers (Mendeley), and publication strategies in highly reputable international journals. This event was then followed by the second session, which discussed the anatomy of international journals as presented by Mr. Tauchid Komara Yuda. The third session discussed finalizing the theme to produce a draft title and refining the abstract, keywords, methods, and literature review. On the third day, June 19, 2021, there were three sessions, including: session 1 on perfecting the introduction, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgement, and references; session 2 on reference search activities, Mendeley practice, and forming article structures; and session 3 on demonstrating the submission of articles.
