On June 28-29, 2021, Bunda Mulia Serpong University held the 2021 National Accounting Competition and Seminar (TACTICS). The Accounting Competition Team from Parahyangan Catholic University participated in this competition, and was represented by the “Ji Pyeong” Team (Lulu Carissa Soegiharto/6041801109 and Grace Marcella/6041801163), the “Apple Pie” Team (Nathasia Ferkim/6041801041 and Stefanie Levana Thedjakusuma/ 6041801202), and the “Renn” Team (Nicholas Nathanael/6041801155 and Jessica Renata/6041801047).
This competition was attended by 38 teams that were registered from various national-scale universities. This event was held using the Zoom platform, starting with writing a journal regarding “Mewujudkan Akuntan yang Berkualitas di Era Kemajuan Teknologi” or “Creating Qualified Accountants in the Age of Technological Advancement” which was then collected on June 26, 2021. In the preliminary round, all team members were given questions in google form and the scores from each team member would be accumulated to become one team score. In this round, the first 20 teams with the highest accumulated points advanced to the Quarter Finals, and all three teams from UNPAR (Ji Pyeong team, Apple Pie team, Renn team) succeeded in advancing to the Quarter Finals.
In the Quarter Final round, the 20 teams were divided into 5 breakout rooms and did a presentation on their papers that they had already made beforehand. Ji Pyeong’s team presented a paper with the title of ”Penguasaan Data Analytics & Data Science, Senjata Bagi Akuntan Dalam Menghadapi Perubahan Era Kemajuan Teknologi” or “Mastery of Data Analytics & Data Science, A Weapon for Accountants in Facing Changes in the Era of Technological Advancement”, Apple Pie’s team with the title of ”Respons Auditor dalam Menghadapi Perkembangan Teknologi” or “Auditor’s Response in Facing Technological Developments”, and Renn’s team with the title of “Peran Big Data dan Internet of Things terhadap Profesi Akuntan pada Era Revolusi Industri 4.0” or “The Role of Big Data and the Internet of Things to the Accountant Profession in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0”. In this round, the three teams from UNPAR qualified for the Semifinals which would be held on June 29th, 2021.
In the Semifinal round, 15 teams were randomly divided into 5 breakout rooms. At this stage, the three groups in 1 breakout room rotated in answering different questions. In this round, the teams from UNPAR (Ji Pyeong team, Apple Pie team, and Renn team) passed to the final round. In the final round, Ji Pyeong’s team won 2nd place, Apple Pie’s team won 3rd place, and Renn’s team won 4th place or juara harapan 1. The 1st place itself was won by the ACLC team from Bunda Mulia University. Hopefully this competition will motivate the students to be more enthusiastic about learning.
